A team that tests together, stays together

A Testing project is complex and requires a team that is diverse and proactive. Just like how a team-sport requires team spirit and players who work together, testing also needs to be done by a team of people who work well together. Like we mentioned in , a tester is only as efficient as the team.
The best way to ensure the team works together is, to make every team member aware of what needs to get done and who will take the lead on each task. It is important to define and document the roles and responsibilities of the test-team members.

As time goes by, we tend to find methods that work for us – and some, that don’t. Using whiteboards while conducting interviews, has always worked for me. The first time I faced such an interview was way back in 1985 – when I appeared for an interview for M.Sc Physics at Hyderabad Central University. And once I started my career, I naturally tended to use whiteboards whenever I interviewed potential employees.

But, when a well known personality says he disapproves of something that you cherish, it’s time to respond 🙂

Marathon and MarathonITE Upgraded

With the onset of the New Year, we released the new versions of our testing tools – Both Marathon and MarathonITE have levelled-up to V5 and, they now sport a new jazzy look, thanks to Java/FX™. MarathonITE has been upgraded to include a Web Application launcher that supports the testing of web applications from Chrome, FireFox and Edge to even IE browsers. (The Web launchers are still a bit wet behind the ears).
